Here is a list of many of our favorite contractors. They are professionals with whom we’ve had great experience although I would encourage you to get additional references if you choose use any of the people mentioned. Revivals Design and Renovation 781-646-7679 Tim Kane and Bob Botterio have been running Revivals together for about 20 years. They are premiere builders, and renovators and Bob’s design work is fabulous, they and their employees do top quality work and are a pleasure to work with. I think they have an almost primal organic approach to space, they see it the way it’s supposed to be. You will not be disappointed if you hire these guys. Even though at the start they appear to be more expensive then some, they are not only worth it but actually deliver as promised which presents a savings in time, aggravation and overrides. House To Home 781-251-0853 A small general contracting firm run by Andy Bemis and Chris Fagen. House to Home does great work, they should, they started out with Revivals, (see above). It’s generally just the two of them so they are best suited to smaller undertakings, like kitchens and baths. These guys have great design sense and often work without a designer or architect. The quality they offer is terrific. They are well connected and all of their sub- contractors are pleasant and excellent. You won’t be disappointed with the outcome of your project. We had lots of fun shopping with the following suppliers: Porrier Appliance – Bob Porrier 617-558-5500 Bob was really helpful helping us make decisions and selections is an area that can be very confusing. Splash – Ask for Robin 617-332-6662 For kitchen and bath fixtures. Robin really knows her plumbing and was great a saving us money while delivering high design. Chimera 617-542-3233 Unusual lighting shop with great selection and service. Since Emitt acted as the general contractor on our last renovation we can also offer our suggestions on waste removal, plasterers, insulation guys and other assorted service provider.
